Compared to 100 years ago, global temperature has increased by almost 0.5°C (from 1981 to 1990 +0.48°C). Global warming has attracted the attention of all countries, the main cause of the increase in temperature is the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. To remedy the situation, the Montreal Protocol was signed in 1987 and the Kyoto Protocol in 1997. In 2009 the European Union introduced the F-Gas regulation and approved in December 2013. The new rules came into force in May 2014 and January 2015. Without the rules indicated by the F-Gas regulation, we would produce 150 thousand tons of CO2 per year.

Refrigerant with very low environmental impact

Haier offers products that comply with the requirements of European Union regulations for environmental protection. To avoid dangerous damage to the environment, Europe is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency. Units with R32 refrigerant contain less gas and, having a lower GWP than R410A units, have a lower impact on global warming.

GWP = Global Warming Potential

The global warming potential (GWP, in Italian global warming potential) is the measurement of how much a molecule of a certain greenhouse gas impacts the greenhouse effect; the index is based on a relative scale that compares each gas with carbon dioxide, whose GWP by definition has the value 1. Each GWP value is calculated for a specific time interval.

In terms of comparison, the GWP of the R32 refrigerant corresponds to a value of 675, while the GWP of the R410A refrigerant corresponds to a value of 2088.

The Haier Air Conditioners Flexis Plus unit is equipped with the "UVC Generator Module", a module that generates ultraviolet rays. Subjected to laboratory tests, the module has proven to be able to inhibit the Sars-Cov-2 (Covid-19) virus with an efficiency of up to 99.998% .

The tests were carried out by Texcell, a contract research organization operating on a global scale. From the informative study it can be seen that, inside a 45L container (0.045m3), the module installed on Haier air conditioners manages to inactivate and reduce the concentration of the Sars-Cov-2 virus by 99.998% in 1 hour
