EFFICIENCY, RATIONALITY AND ROBUSTNESS

New series of condensing boilers with which FERROLI intends to satisfy the increasingly strict limits on energy consumption required by recent regulations. The range of generators was designed with the new patented exchanger in AISI 316 TI stainless steel capable of guaranteeing energy efficiency and performance, both in heating and in the supply of domestic hot water, at the top of its category, in compliance with the new directives ErP for eco-friendly design and labelling.

Therefore, by replacing standard boilers with Bluehelix K 50, in line with the new ERP regulations, electricity savings of around 30% can be estimated. The savings will actually be even greater, as these are modulating circulators, which at minimum power can achieve consumption of up to just 3 W.

The low consumption circulator installed in the Bluehelix K 50 has a variable flow rate, with ΔT control. The advantages offered are many, including:

- System start-up from cold: quicker commissioning with full control of the thermal load on the components
- Long-lasting maintenance of temperature equilibrium conditions, once the set point has been reached
- Better operation in limit conditions (e.g. at minimum power), reduction of on-oFF states
- Reactivity to variations in thermal load, an appreciable quality in multi-zone systems

..ROBUST

There are other advantages attributable to the circulator chosen for Bluehelix K 50:
- The PWM signal (pulse width modulation) to the circulator allows very rapid intervention times to complete an advanced and complete electronic platform. This results in a drastic reduction in the ON-OFF events of the burner and the circulator.
- Electronic control of the driving torque at start-up with consequent reduction of the risk of blocking. The routine anti-seize cycle is in any case carried out every 24 hours of inactivity.
- Self-protection function in case of overheating
- Less noise
All this translates into greater longevity not only of the circulator, but also of the components subject to wear and stress from frequent on-off cycles.

COMFORT AND SAFETY

The designers have thought of a series of functions capable of guaranteeing the quality of the domestic water, the best power delivery to the heating system combined with a longer life of the appliance.

> OPERATION IN SLIDING TEMPERATURE With the installation of the “External probe” kit it is possible to operate the boiler in sliding temperature. This means that without acting on the system temperature adjustment buttons, the boiler will self-regulate based on variations in external temperatures. All this translates into energy savings while ensuring maximum comfort for the user.
> ANTI-LEGIONELLA FUNCTION In order to keep the storage tank in suitable hygienic-sanitary conditions, the product electronics are able to keep it at a temperature of 65°C at programmable time intervals from one to seven days.
> ANTI-BLOCK FUNCTION In order to avoid blocking and consequent damage to the heating circulator and the three-way diverter valve, after a set period of inactivity, the boiler electronics activate its operation for a few seconds.
> ANTI-FREEZE FUNCTION In the event that the temperature in the boiler drops to 5°C, the burner automatically turns on and the circulator is activated in order to protect the appliance from damage caused by frost. This function is active with the boiler powered by the gas circuit and under electrical voltage.
> ECONOMY/COMFORT FUNCTION By activating the appropriate button, heating/temperature maintenance can be excluded by the user (Economy). This allows you to reduce fuel consumption during periods of non-use of domestic water
