Galvanization
Over time, any metal is subject to deterioration. Bad weather or simple prolonged exposure in outdoor environments generate oxide on the surfaces, damaging the metals to the point of making them unsightly. For this reason, all the external units of Zephir air conditioners are treated with a double "Galvanization" process which consists in the application of one or more layers of zinc on the steel in order to guarantee complete protection of the surface
Galvanization is therefore an additional security that prolongs the life of our air conditioners and always makes them beautiful
The SENDZIMIR method (Continuous Hot Galvanization)
It is a hot galvanizing process of the sheets that make up our external units, which are thus coated with a protective layer of zinc. The metal is immersed in a ceramic tank containing molten zinc at a temperature of around 700°C to which Lead and Aluminum are usually also added, the first as a fluidizing element and the second to facilitate the adhesion of the zinc to the steel. Before passing through the zinc, the sheet metal is subjected to a degreasing treatment in order to eliminate surface impurities. Subsequently, to eliminate iron oxides, it is pickled in hydrochloric acid. Once the coating phase is finished, the metal is ready for the subsequent profiling process
