Intuitive use

The Therm 6000i S's digital display immediately shows the high-tech aspect of the water heater and is simple and intuitive to use. Through the display it is possible to manage the desired water temperature by clicking on the raise/lower arrows visible next to the current temperature value.

Control via app

The Therm 6000i S water heater can also be controlled via its Bosch Water app using smart devices (smartphones and tablets) connected via Bluetooth. The app makes additional functions available, in addition to setting the water temperature, such as: history of the last five consumptions to know your water and gas expenses, diagnostics in case of malfunctions and direct contact with our Thermotechnical Assistance Services.

Comfort and savings while respecting the environment

Gradual temperature regulation allows you to save up to 60 liters of water and a final 35% of gas. These savings are favored by the Smart Hydraulics valve, which allows the selected temperature to be reached more quickly and increases its stability: no more showers with temperature changes between hot and cold! The combustion of gas to produce hot water is optimized thanks to a patented algorithm, OptiFlow, which automatically calculates the combustion air flow based on the power absorbed by the fan and its rotation speed. This guarantees optimal performance of the appliance in all operating conditions, reducing the minimum power and avoiding the risk of condensation forming on the heat exchanger.

The ErP regulation and the new energy labels

The future of heating systems

Starting from 26 September 2015, heating systems for the production of hot water must comply with the ErP (Energy Related Products) regulations issued by the European Union in order to be placed on the market. The ErP standards favor the eco-friendly design of products that consume energy from fossil fuels and aim to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as to provide consumers with transparent and homogeneous information on the energy efficiency of appliances, encouraging comparison. Regulations N 811/2013 and 812/2013 provide for specific energy labeling of appliances for heating and producing domestic hot water. Regulations N 813/2013 and 814/2013 prescribe, among other things, the minimum energy efficiency and polluting emission requirements that manufacturers of heating and domestic hot water production equipment must comply with. These regulations therefore raise the standards of energy efficiency, improving the performance of the systems and excluding low-performing technologies from the market.

The energy label will be supplied by the manufacturer with the appliance and will represent a concrete help for the consumer, allowing him to better understand the characteristics of the system, acquire greater awareness of energy savings and allow him to choose the best thing to buy. The energy label will provide information on the energy class of the product, on a scale between A++ and G, and on other additional notations, such as power and noise emissions.

The ErP regulation provides two types of labelling:

the first is supplied by the manufacturer together with the product for the heating/domestic hot water production appliances

the second for systems composed of multiple elements.

In this second case, the label indicates the energy efficiency levels achievable thanks to all the components used, allowing the increase in the scores attributed to each appliance and increasing the energy class of the system: it is therefore the task of those who create/install the system to provide the consumer with the correct explanatory label.

The ErP standards represent an opportunity to develop a market for high efficiency technologies, such as condensation, heat pumps, solar thermal, cogeneration and the integration of different energy sources in a single system. These technologies will have an impact on home consumption, approximately 80% of which is due to heating and hot water production, and which are now incentivized at the fiscal level.

Junkers Bosch is already in line with the dictates of the ErP regulation, demonstrating the future orientation that has always characterized the brand.
