HD electrothermal head
Normally closed ON-OFF thermoelectric head, protected against infiltration and splashes, powered at 230V with limit switch microswitch, brass ring nut connection.
The Ideal Clima Systech electrothermal HD head is used to control heating circuits, whether high or low temperature. The extremely compact shape, the ease of assembly and disassembly without the use of tools, and the splash protection make it reliable and versatile for any installation occasion. A limit microswitch is integrated into the head so as to be able to directly control the circulation pump in the box or give consent to external electrical equipment such as the boiler. The electrothermal HD head has a mechanical position indicator, without power the indicator is red.
The anti-splash electrothermal HD head is mounted directly on the low temperature manifolds and on the high temperature manifolds when you want to create a radiant panel system divided into multiple thermal zones, i.e. controlled by multiple thermostats. This type of head is used when direct wiring to the thermostats is desired, without using the "Zones and Pumps" control unit. The presence of the limit microswitch makes it suitable for controlling the box pump or the boiler pump through direct wiring.
The operating mechanism of the head is composed of an elastic element heated by a PTC resistor and a counter compression spring. When the head receives a signal from the room thermostat (heating request), the elastic element rises and opens the valve on which the head is mounted, letting the hot water flow into the controlled circuit. After a 2 mm stroke, the limit switch also closes, starting the circulation pump. When the room thermostat stops sending the signal (room reaches temperature), the counter-spring closes the valve, interrupting the flow of hot water. The closing and opening force is calibrated specifically for Ideal Clima collectors.
